The pressostat is responsible for regulating the water level in the tank. When the tank reaches the desired level, the sensor sends a signal, and the water filling process in the device is completed.

• the contacts become oxidized;
• the contacts become closed;
• The diaphragm starts to leak;
• the pressure tube gets clogged or damaged.

If the pressostat is not working properly, the tank might overflow and water may leak from the appliance into the apartment and downstairs.

Before putting the cover back on, you can cautiously operate the machine without any clothes in the drum, while following safety measures. If the washing procedure works fine, it means that the issue has been resolved and you can proceed with reassembling the housing. Don’t forget to disconnect the appliance from the power supply before starting any work. However, if the device is still faulty and starts draining water right after filling it, then the cause is something else.

Drain valve failure

To resolve the issue of a non-functioning drain valve, it is necessary to replace the component entirely. This problem occurs when the washing machine continuously draws water into the tank.
